Cowfish VanTenna

Cowfish VanTenna for effortless TV reception

At Carac, we love supporting Australian companies! One standout Aussie family business is Cowfish Technologies, founded in 2021 by a young family travelling across Australia. Their journey highlighted how many products simply didn’t meet the needs of families on the move. So, they took matters into their own hands and developed hardware designed to thrive in Australia's remote and expansive landscapes.

One of their key innovations is the Cowfish VanTenna – and it's now available at Carac!

The VanTenna is a modern take on a traditional Television antenna which allows for a smaller unit to be fitted to your Caravan roof. This unit still covers the full television transmission range and also incorporates an AM - FM antenna which can be connected to your caravan radio if required.

The VanTenna comes in two versions, one with the cable exiting from the underside of the unit (Model A), best suited to new installations or one with the cable exiting from the side of the unit (Model B) which is better suited to existing installations where a signal cable already coming through the roof cannot be relocated. Both models are available in white and black.

What makes the VanTenna different?

The Cowfish VanTenna incorporates a unique design that utilizes additional antenna elements compared to a standard omni-directional antenna. The VanTenna is one of a kind and a true dual polarised antenna, receiving both vertical and horizontal television signal. Other television antennas can only receive a horizontally polarised TV signal. Approximately 60% of Australian television broadcasting is horizontally polarised and 40% is vertically polarised. Other benefits include:

Effortless TV Reception: Enjoy reliable TV reception without worrying about the orientation of your caravan or motorhome.

No Manual Adjustments: No need to wind up, point, or wind down the antenna in bad weather.

Quiet and Discreet: Experience zero wind noise while watching TV, ensuring a peaceful viewing experience.

Durable Design: Built without hinges or moving parts, reducing the risk of damage when travelling over rough, corrugated roads.

All-Direction Signal: Receives TV signals equally from all directions, allowing access to channels from multiple broadcasting towers simultaneously.

Simple Setup: Just turn on the VanTenna and scan for channels: no complicated setup required.

Low-Profile Build: At only 298mm high, the VanTenna aligns with most caravan air-conditioning units, ensuring a sleek roof profile.

Optimized for Digital TV: Designed for the best digital television signal reception, upgrading your entertainment experience.

UV-Stable Finish: Available in glossy white or black, the VanTenna is built to withstand harsh Australian sun conditions.
