Caravan Air Vents

Good airflow is what keeps a caravan feeling fresh rather than stuffy. The right vents move warm, damp air out and draw cool, dry air in, which helps cut condensation, keeps cooking and bathroom smells moving, and protects your interior from the moisture that leads to mould and musty soft furnishings.

Whether you are replacing a tired old vent, upgrading airflow, or kitting out a new build, our caravan air vents cover every spot on the van, from the roof and walls to doors, cupboards and the fridge cavity.

Below you can shop by vent type, size and shape, so it is easy to match a vent to the job and to your existing cut-out.

Louvre Vents

Louvre vents use angled slats to let air pass while keeping rain, dust and bugs out, which makes them a go-to for walls, doors and enclosed spaces like pantries and cupboards. We stock them in painted aluminium (smooth white and stucco white), tough white ABS plastic, and 304 stainless steel for a hard-wearing internal or external finish.

Sizes range from a compact 127 x 65mm right up to a generous 210 x 381mm, so there is a fit for small cabinets through to larger wall openings. Most stainless and aluminium options come pre-drilled for quick fitting.

Rotary Roof Vents

Rotary vents, often called spinners, use the breeze and the heat rising inside your van to spin and pull stale air straight out through the roof. They are a simple, low-power way to keep air moving while you are parked or on the move.

Our rotary vents come in white and black, with 225mm and 240mm heads to suit common roof cut-outs. Look for low-profile ABS designs with stainless steel fixings for long life in the sun.

Scupper Vents

Scupper vents are shaped to scoop air in under pressure as you drive, making them ideal for pushing fresh air through the van on the road. Choose from small and large painted white aluminium scupper vents, with matching internal trims to tidy off the inside of the cut-out and a service kit available for the larger size.

Roof Vents and Cowls

For straightforward extraction, our steel-lid roof vents (small 195 x 100mm and medium 250 x 200mm) pair a strong black steel lid with a cast aluminium flange. Aluminium roof cowls in 75mm and 150mm sit on the roof to give a neat, waterproof outlet for flues and ducting, with inserts to finish the inside.

Inner, Rose and Butterfly Vents

Rose vents are the round inner vents that finish off a cut-out from the inside, available in 150mm aluminium and white plastic. The stainless steel butterfly vent (153mm round) adds an adjustable sliding window so you can dial ventilation up or down by hand. These are a tidy choice for bathrooms, wardrobes and any space where you want simple control over airflow.

Door and Fridge Vents

Keep airflow moving where it is needed most with inner and outer door vents to suit Aussie Traveller DC doors, and Dometic gas flue kits in black and white for 3-way fridges over 100 litres, which direct heat safely out the side of the van.

How to Choose the Right Caravan Vent

A few quick checks make fitting painless:

  • Measure your cut-out first. Match the vent size to the existing hole, or plan your hole around the vent dimensions listed on each product.
  • Pick by location. Roof spots suit rotary vents and cowls, walls and doors suit louvre vents, and cupboards suit smaller louvre or plastic vents.
  • Choose the material for the job. Aluminium and ABS are light and rust-free, while 304 stainless steel handles coastal and high-wear areas best.
  • Think about control. If you want to open and close the airflow, a butterfly vent gives you an adjustable window.

Frequently Asked Questions

What size caravan vent do I need?
Measure your current cut-out or the space available, then match it to the vent dimensions shown on each listing. Our range runs from small 127 x 65mm louvres up to large 250 x 200mm roof vents and 240mm rotary heads.

What is the difference between a louvre vent and a rotary vent?
A louvre vent is a fixed slatted vent that lets air pass naturally through a wall or door. A rotary vent spins to actively draw stale air out through the roof, which is handy for clearing heat and moisture faster.

Are these vents weatherproof?
Yes, our roof vents, cowls and scupper vents are designed to keep water out while letting air through. Always seal around the flange properly during fitting for a watertight result.

Can I fit a caravan vent myself?
Many vents are pre-drilled and straightforward to fit with basic tools and a suitable sealant. If you would rather leave it to the pros, our workshop team can help.
